Ms. Lucy Jackman is a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London, where she leads gastrointestinal allergy and motility services. She has a particular interest in eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE) and eosinophilic conditions of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, contributing to advancements in dietary management for children with complex GI disorders.
Jackman is a registered dietitian at The Gut Health Clinic, specializing in paediatric nutrition. She supports parents and caregivers in understanding and improving their child’s gut health, offering tailored dietary advice based on individual needs. Her expertise spans food allergies, intolerances, coeliac disease, reflux, constipation, nutritional deficiencies, and poor growth, ensuring that children receive optimal nutritional support.
She has extensive experience in managing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and exclusive enteral nutrition (EEN) for Crohn’s disease, helping refine dietary interventions for pediatric patients. Her work in EoE and gastrointestinal allergy has led to contributions in standardizing clinical practice for complex GI food allergies, ensuring evidence-based approaches to dietary management.
Jackman is an active member of the British Society of Paediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Nutrition (BSPHGAN), where she participates in working groups focused on EoE and pediatric GI disorders. She is also a spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association (BDA), representing the organization in media engagements and delivering presentations on specialist study days in London.
Beyond her clinical work, Jackman is involved in medical education and professional training, mentoring healthcare professionals in paediatric dietetics and gastrointestinal nutrition. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including gastroenterologists, allergists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care for children with complex nutritional needs.
