Dr. Aimee Wiseman is a Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), UK, specializing in gastrointestinal (GI) allergy, hepatology, and transplant medicine. Originally from Australia, she completed her specialty training through the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, refining her expertise in pediatric digestive health and immunology.
Before moving to the UK in 2022, Dr. Wiseman worked as a general Paediatric Gastroenterologist in Australia, where she developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and managing complex GI disorders in children. She pursued advanced fellowship training in Paediatric Hepatology and Transplant Medicine at King’s College Hospital, followed by specialized training in GI Immunology and Allergy at Great Ormond Street Hospital, ensuring that children with severe allergic and digestive conditions receive cutting-edge care.
Her clinical interests include food allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver transplantation, integrating multidisciplinary approaches to pediatric digestive health. She collaborates with allergy specialists, immunologists, and transplant teams, ensuring that children with complex GI conditions receive personalized treatment plans.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Wiseman has a background in International Studies and Law, which she leverages to drive healthcare policy and reform. She is passionate about advancing GI allergy medicine, advocating for evidence-based guidelines and improved access to specialized care. Her medico-legal expertise allows her to contribute to policy discussions on pediatric healthcare, ensuring that children with digestive disorders receive equitable treatment worldwide.
