Thomas Weinke

Professor Dr. Thomas Weinke is the Medical Director and Chief Physician for Gastroenterology and Infectious Diseases at the Ernst von Bergmann Clinic in Potsdam, Germany. He specializes in vaccine-preventable infectious diseases, contributing to advancements in infection control, gastroenterology, and public health policy.

Prof. Weinke has extensive experience in clinical medicine and infectious disease research, having worked in internationally respected medical institutions. His expertise spans gastrointestinal infections, tropical medicine, and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, shaping best practices in diagnosis and treatment. He has contributed to studies on protozoan infections, pulmonary infections, and vaccine-preventable diseases, refining therapeutic approaches for complex infectious conditions.

He has played a key role in vaccination advocacy, particularly through his initiative, "Project: Flu Protection", which aims to raise awareness about influenza prevention.
