VERELST, SOPHIE

Sophie Verelst qualified as a pediatrician at the University of Leuven in Belgium and further sub-specialised in pediatric pulmonology and allergology at the University of Leuven in Belgium. During her residency years she gained experience abroad by working for a year in the Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria in South Africa. She started her professional career in the Department of Pediatrics of Jessa Hospital Hasselt in Belgium in 2020. Since 2020 she is a consultant in Pediatric allergology on weekly basis at the University Hospital Leuven, Belgium. In 2021 she founded an allergy clinic “PeAACH - Pediatric Allergy Center Hasselt” that includes 2 pneumologists-allergists, 1 pneumologist-immunologist, a dedicated paediatric allergy dietician and two allergy clinical nurses.
