SANWO, OLATOKUNBO

Dr. Olatokunbo Sanwo is a Consultant Paediatrician at the Cambridge Community NHS Trust in the UK. She completed her medical degree at King’s College London and has since pursued further academic training alongside her clinical career, earning Master of Science degrees in both Medical Education and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. These dual qualifications reflect her commitment to combining clinical excellence with a strong focus on education and mental health support in pediatric practice.

In her clinical role, Dr. Sanwo provides comprehensive care to children across community settings, with particular attention to developmental, behavioral, and mental health concerns in the pediatric population. She works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and has a strong interest in early intervention and the promotion of emotional well-being among children and families.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Sanwo has led and contributed to several Quality Improvement Projects within her trust. These include “Holding Hands,” a trainee-led initiative designed to support the well-being of pediatric doctors, and “EPiC,” a staff engagement project aimed at promoting positive feedback and celebrating achievements within healthcare teams.

Dr. Sanwo also contributes to teaching and mentorship of junior doctors and medical students, integrating principles of medical education into her daily practice. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to improving both patient care and staff experience within the healthcare system.
