Dr. Laura Reali is a primary care pediatrician based in Italy and currently serves as President of the European Confederation of Primary Care Paediatricians (ECPCP), a network representing pediatricians committed to advancing the quality of care for children across Europe. She has longstanding experience in clinical practice, education, and advocacy in pediatric primary care.
Dr. Reali previously held the role of pediatric primary care professor and currently serves as a pediatric tutor at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome. Her academic interests focus on pediatric preventive care and the impact of environmental factors on child health. She has authored several scientific publications and contributed to books addressing environmental exposures and their influence on children’s development and well-being.
In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Reali is actively engaged in public health and environmental advocacy. She is Regional President of the International Society of Doctors for the Environment (ISDE-Italy), where she promotes awareness of environmental health risks and supports initiatives aimed at reducing environmental exposures affecting children. Internationally, she is a member of the International Pediatric Association (IPA) Program Area on Environmental Health & Climate Change, contributing to global efforts in pediatric environmental health policy and education.
Dr. Reali continues to advocate for stronger integration of environmental health into pediatric training and practice, emphasizing the need for preventive strategies in primary care settings to address the growing impact of environmental challenges on children’s health.
