Dr. Marie-Anne Morren is a dermatologist with over three decades of clinical experience, specializing in pediatric dermatology. She served at the University Hospitals in Leuven, Belgium, from 1990 until August 2018, where she was responsible for the Pediatric Dermatology Unit. Since September 2018, she has been part of the Pediatric Dermatology team at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Her main areas of clinical and research interest include pediatric allergic skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, autoimmune and autoinflammatory skin conditions, and genetic skin disorders (genodermatoses). Throughout her career, Dr. Morren has contributed to the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of complex pediatric skin conditions and has collaborated closely with other specialties including immunology, rheumatology, and genetics.
She has authored or co-authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles, primarily in the field of pediatric dermatology, and has contributed to the advancement of knowledge and clinical practice in this specialty. Her publications address a wide range of dermatologic disorders in children and reflect her commitment to improving diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic strategies.
Dr. Morren has played an active role in the Belgian Society of Pediatric Dermatology, where she served as Secretary and later as President. She continues to participate in professional education and collaborative networks aimed at improving dermatologic care for children across Europe.
Her ongoing work at CHUV focuses on the care of children with complex and rare skin diseases, as well as training and mentoring young dermatologists.
