Ian Maconochie

Professor of Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Professor of Practice, Imperial College and Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine -  I have a role as Clinical Advisor on Urgent and Emergency Care to the Children and Young People's Section of NHS EI and work as CCIO for the newly formed West London Children's Healthcare,  to produce a unified paediatric service for over 500 000 children.

Academic interests include Paediatric Resuscitation, PEWS, Health Services work and supporting juniors in their personal development! Clinical work is in a busy Inner London Teaching hospital clinically, which I set up in 2000(!) and am currently the Honorary Secretary of the Resuscitation Council UK, having recently stepped down as Co-Chair of the Paediatric Life Support Task Group for the International Liaison Committee of Resuscitation Councils.
