Dr. Marta Lomazzi is the Executive Manager of the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA), where she oversees strategic planning, program management, and international collaborations in public health. She has been with WFPHA since 2011, contributing to the evaluation and development of global health initiatives.
Dr. Lomazzi holds a PhD in Neurosciences and has postgraduate training in Health Diplomacy and Negotiations. Her expertise in public health policy and advocacy has positioned her as a key figure in global health governance, working closely with WHO and other international organizations. She is also a co-editor of the Journal of Public Health Policy Federation’s Pages, where she contributes to discussions on health equity, immunization policies, and global health strategies.
Passionate about public health and social justice, Dr. Lomazzi is one of the founding members of the WFPHA International Immunization Policy Taskforce, advocating for equitable vaccine access and immunization strategies worldwide. Her work focuses on strengthening health systems, addressing disparities, and promoting evidence-based policies to improve population health.
Beyond her role at WFPHA, Dr. Lomazzi serves as a Privat-Dozent at the University of Geneva, where she engages in academic research and mentorship. She has over 15 years of experience in operational management, strategic planning, and relationship-building in international health settings. Her contributions to global health diplomacy, public health research, and policy development continue to shape international health initiatives.
