Dr. Julie Leysen is a Senior Staff Member at the Department of Dermatology at University Hospital Antwerp, specializing in atopic dermatitis, pediatric dermatology, and immunological skin disorders. She has contributed extensively to dermatological research and clinical practice, focusing on drug allergy diagnostics and inflammatory skin conditions.

Dr. Leysen earned her medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Antwerp in 2009, demonstrating early academic excellence. She then spent four years in the research laboratory of Immunology at the University of Antwerp, where she worked on the development and validation of in vitro tools for optimizing drug allergy diagnosis.
