Dr. Julie Leysen received her medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Antwerp in 2009. Afterwards she has been working for four years in the research laboratory of Immunology at the University of Antwerp and focused on the development and validation of in vitro tools to optimize the diagnosis of (drug) allergy. In 2013 she successfully defended her PhD. Currently she works as a senior staff member at the Department of Dermatology of the Antwerp University Hospital (Antwerp, Belgium). Dr. Julie Leysen has a special interest inatopic dermatitis and paediatric dermatology.
