Su has been a consultant paediatrician at Barnet Hospital (now RFH NHS Trust) since 1993 and was the RCPCH tutor for many years. Her special interests are constipation, asthma and complex unexplained symptoms. She manages two children with familial dysautonomia which makes her an “expert”! She has also been the named doctor for child protection for longer than she can remember! She was a Trustee of The Child Bereavement Charity (now called CBUK) for 9 years and a long term trainer and facilitator for the charity. She is now the Chair of Paediatric Training Programme Directors for UCLP. In her spare time she has done some broadcasting on paediatric topics and has written books about parenting and child care. Her latest book is for parents of babies who require neonatal intensive care. She is a mother of three, none of whom want to be doctors!
