Dr Marc Lacour was born in 1961 and is a Pediatrician trained in Pediatric Dermatology. He has been treasurer of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (ESPD) many years and was a founding member of the Swiss Society for Pediatric Dermatology. He has completed his medical studies in Geneva with a doctorate in Immunology in 1991. He specialized in Pediatrics in 1995 and was trained in Dermatology at the “Hôpital Cantonal de Genève”, Geneva Switzerland, under the supervision of Prof. J-H. Saurat and subsequently worked in Pediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London UK, with Prof. JI Harper. His contributions to the scientific literature involve many research and clinical papers, as well as book chapters in Immunology, Pediatrics and Pediatric Dermatology. He has been a board member of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (ESPD) for more than 10 years and treasurer of the ESPD between 1996 and 2001. He also was Vice-President of the organizing committee of the 10th ESPD Congress in Lausanne, Switzerland (2010) and of the ESPD Summer school in Lausanne Switzerland (2015).
