Lies Kriek

Lies Kriek is a pediatric intensive care nurse and research specialist, serving as Chair of the RSV Patient Network/Patient Advisory Board at ReSViNET. She has dedicated her career to advancing respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) research and patient advocacy, ensuring that scientific findings translate into improved care for RSV patients.

Kriek trained as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Erasmus MC-Sophia Children's Hospital in the Netherlands, refining her expertise in critical care for children with respiratory conditions. In 2019, she transitioned into RSV research, joining the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in the Netherlands as a research assistant in the RSV research group of Professor Dr. Louis Bont. She contributed to multiple RSV studies, shaping clinical approaches to RSV prevention and treatment.

Since 2021, Kriek has served as Chair of the RSV Patient Network/Patient Advisory Board at ReSViNET, a global network of RSV investigators and patient advocates. She leads patient-centered initiatives, ensuring that RSV research aligns with real-world patient needs. ReSViNET collaborates with international experts, integrating scientific research with patient advocacy.

ReSViNET/RSV Patient Network was an affiliated partner in RESCEU, a European initiative focused on RSV epidemiology and prevention. Since November 2021, ReSViNET has also been a partner in the PROMISE Consortium, contributing to global RSV research and policy development.
