Andras Kolto, PhD is a health psychologist and a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the Health Promotion Research Centre, University of Galway, Ireland. Prior to moving to Ireland, he served as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Affective Psychology, Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary. Andras chairs the sexual health working group within the international network of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC), a World Health Organization collaborative cross-national study since 2016. His research interests include adolescent mental and sexual health; romantic attraction and love in adolescents; health of marginalised groups, with a special regard to Sexual and Gender Minority young people; and the experimental study of hypnosis and hypnotic susceptibility. He provided psychological counselling to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and other Sexual and Gender Minority clients, and also worked with patients with psychosomatic and dermatological diseases.
