Professor Alison Kemp is a Professor of Child Health and an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician specializing in child protection, injury prevention, and pediatric trauma. She is affiliated with the University of Cardiff, where she leads research on safeguarding children, improving clinical assessments, and advancing policies related to child welfare.
Professor Kemp has an extensive background in pediatric medicine and forensic assessment, focusing on the identification and management of non-accidental injuries in children. Her work has contributed to the development of clinical guidelines for child protection, ensuring that healthcare professionals can accurately differentiate between accidental and inflicted injuries.
