Talia Kakourou

Talia Kakourou is an honorary scientific collaborator of the First Pediatric Department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and a consultant pediatric dermatologist at IASO Children’s Hospital, Athens Greece. She has been practicing exclusively Pediatric Dermatology since 1990.

She has participated as a lecturer and/or chairperson in many National, European and World congresses. She is the author of several book-chapters and papers in peer-reviewed journals in the field of pediatric dermatology. She is one of the founders of the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Dermatology (1999) and presently the special secretary of the Society.

She was the secretary of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (ESPD) between 2008 and 2010, the president of the ESPD between 2010 and 2012 and the president of the scientific committee of the ESPD between 2018 and 2022.She is presently an emeritus member of the ESPD board. She received a token of appreciation from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology (EADV) for her contribution to the development of the Academy (2016).
