Anders Juul

Anders Juul, MD, PhD, Dr.Med., is Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Copenhagen and Head of the Department of Growth and Reproduction at Rigshospitalet, a position he has held since 2006. He is also Coordinating Professor at the Juliane Marie Center, Rigshospitalet, and the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Copenhagen.

His research focuses on growth, puberty, reproductive endocrinology, and the effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on child and adolescent health. He leads EDMaRC, an international research center on endocrine disruption funded by the Danish EPA (2018–2025), and served as principal investigator on DISRUPT, an NIH-funded international collaboration examining prenatal EDC exposure and testicular cancer risk, involving partners at Harvard, Lund, and Kuopio universities. He also led NESGAS, a multicenter clinical trial on growth hormone treatment in short SGA children across five European centers (2010–2023).

Professor Juul is board certified in both pediatric endocrinology and medical andrology, and is a recipient of the European Society of Paediatric Endocrinology Research Award (2015). He has published 678 peer-reviewed articles, with over 26,000 citations and an H-index of 90 (Scopus, 2024).
