Giuseppe Indolfi is Consultant in Paediatric Hepatology at the Meyer Children’s University Hospital of Florence Italy where he is the clinical lead of the Liver Unit. He obtained his MD and PhD from University of Florence. He has over 10 years of working with children, adolescents and families affected by chronic viral hepatitis. Current research studies include epidemiology, vertical transmission, natural history and antiviral therapy of hepatitis B and C. He published more than 50 full papers on chronic viral hepatitis and has served as reviewer for several leading journals. He has been member of the board of the Italian Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Nutrition (2011-3) and is actually member of the Hepatology Committee of the European Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN). He is currently on the expert list for paediatric hepatology of the European Medicines Agency
