Dr. Michael W. Hodin is the CEO of the Global Coalition on Aging (GCOA), a leading organization dedicated to advancing aging-related policy and strategy. He is also Managing Partner at High Lantern Group and a Fellow at Oxford University’s Harris Manchester College. His work focuses on global aging, healthcare policy, and economic sustainability, shaping discussions on demographic shifts and longevity.
Dr. Hodin has spoken at major international forums, including G20, APEC, Davos, and the World Knowledge Forum, where he advocates for aging as an opportunity for economic growth and social innovation. His expertise spans public policy, corporate strategy, and healthcare transformation, ensuring that aging populations are recognized as drivers of productivity and innovation.
From 1976 to 1980, Dr. Hodin served as Legislative Assistant to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, contributing to U.S. foreign economic policy discussions. He later spent 30 years as a senior executive at Pfizer, Inc., where he created and led International Public Affairs and Public Policy operations, shaping global healthcare strategies.
Dr. Hodin is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and previously served as Adjunct Senior Fellow (2010-2013), focusing on population aging. He has received numerous accolades, including the Fred D. Thompson Award from the American Federation for Aging Research (2012). He sits on the boards of multiple organizations, including the Foreign Policy Association, Business Council for International Understanding, and the American Skin Association.
Beyond his leadership roles, Dr. Hodin contributes to policy development, corporate engagement, and thought leadership on aging. His work continues to shape global discussions on longevity, healthcare innovation, and economic sustainability.
