Wendy Craig

Dr. Wendy Craig is a leading international scientist and expert on bullying prevention and the promotion of healthy relationships, serving as Professor of Psychology at Queen’s University, Canada. She is the Co-Founder and Scientific Director of PREVNet (Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network), where she has transformed bullying research into evidence-based practice, intervention, and policy.

Dr. Craig’s work focuses on understanding the psychological and social dynamics of bullying, ensuring that schools, communities, and policymakers implement effective prevention strategies. Through PREVNet, she has led over 150 knowledge-mobilization projects, engaging academics, educators, and youth organizations to create safer environments for children and adolescents.

Her contributions to bullying prevention and youth mental health have earned her numerous prestigious awards, including the Canadian Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contributions to Community Service, the Queen’s Excellence in Research Prize, and the Order of Ontario. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and was recently awarded the Order of Canada for her groundbreaking work on bullying, victimization, and knowledge mobilization.

Beyond her research, Dr. Craig is actively involved in policy development and international advocacy, consulting for organizations such as the United Nations, WHO, and UNICEF on bullying prevention and youth well-being. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, shaping global discussions on bullying intervention and social-emotional learning.
