Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

Participants will explore sJIA as an auto-inflammatory disorder, understanding how innate immune system dysregulation contributes to systemic inflammation. Recognizing this underlying mechanism is key to differentiating sJIA from other forms of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The session also reviews clinical features of sJIA, highlighting persistent fever, rash, arthritis, and systemic involvement, including complications such as macrophage activation syndrome (MAS). Early identification of these symptoms is crucial for timely intervention.
